Pipe Leak in West Hollywood
On June 2, 2026, our team responded to a pipe leak in an underground parking structure in West Hollywood. The service call focused on the building’s water distribution system, which featured PVC and metal supply piping secured with multiple hose clamps and brass fittings throughout the ceiling-mounted infrastructure.
Inspection revealed significant mineral deposits and corrosion on the valve bodies and fittings, along with discolored, aged piping showing rust staining on metal components. The deteriorated pipe wrapping indicated years of exposure and age-related wear. Water staining was visible on the ceiling around pipe penetrations, confirming active leakage in the system. A pressure relief valve with a blue handle and shut-off valve assembly with compression fittings were examined as part of the assessment.
Our technician serviced the valve assembly and tightened hose clamps on the black flexible hose connections to address the leak source. The compression fitting connections were inspected and handled to ensure proper seating. The pressure relief valve was checked and its cap reinstalled. These interventions arrested the active leak and stabilized the affected section of the water distribution system.
The underground parking facility’s aging infrastructure—typical of structures with long-term active water systems—required targeted attention to prevent further water damage to the ceiling and surrounding areas. With the leak contained and connections secured, the system was returned to normal operation. Our crew documented the work with photographic evidence of all serviced components before departure.
