Emergency Call in Marina del Rey

An emergency call brought our team to Marina del Rey on May 30, 2026, to assess a water heater installation. On arrival, we found an American Standard automatic storage water heater, Model GN3011-3-6 NAT, a 40-gallon natural gas unit rated at 25,000 BTU/hr. The equipment, manufactured in June 2015 at the Pomona facility (Serial F15-057091), was mounted in a wall-enclosed surround with proper clearance for ventilation and service access.

The unit showed no signs of damage or corrosion. All critical components were in place and functioning: the pressure relief valve assembly sat at the top of the white cylindrical tank, the temperature/pressure gauge port was accessible, and the pilot light assembly with ignition controls remained operational at the base. The gas supply line, run in flexible copper tubing, connected cleanly at the unit’s base, and the drain valve was positioned accessibly for future maintenance.

Safety documentation was complete and visible on the tank. Compliance certifications for Southern California SCAQMD and Northern California BAAQMD emissions standards were affixed and current. The manufacturer nameplate displayed full specifications and lighting instructions for reference.

The installation met all code requirements for a Marina del Rey emergency plumbing call. The water heater was secure, properly vented, and ready for service. No leaks or operational issues were detected during the inspection.
