Fixture Install in Glendale
Work began on a rough-in plumbing installation in Glendale, exposing existing copper supply lines and black PVC drain piping within the wall cavity. The copper fittings displayed significant oxidation and green patina, indicating age or extended exposure during the access work. A brass ball valve (multi-turn shutoff valve) was installed and positioned correctly within the wall framing.
To complete the rough-in phase, drywall sections were carefully cut away to provide full access to the supply and drain lines. Plastic sheeting was deployed throughout the work area to contain dust and debris generated during removal. The 2-inch PVC drain line, marked with manufacturer labeling, remained intact and properly positioned during this process.
Inspection of the wooden framing revealed aged material consistent with the home’s construction history. All supply and drain components were verified for proper orientation and placement before the rough-in stage was finalized. The brass ball valve installation allows for future shutoff control, and both the copper supply lines and PVC drain are ready for the next phase of fixture connection.
The job was completed on May 20, 2026. The exposed plumbing infrastructure is now prepared for fixture installation, with all rough-in work documented and verified.
