No Hot Water in Los Angeles

Our team arrived to investigate a no-hot-water complaint at a Los Angeles property. Inspection of the water system revealed an aging setup with copper supply lines showing heavy oxidation and patina throughout, along with a cylindrical metal storage tank exhibiting extensive surface rust and deterioration on its exterior.

The system included PVC drain piping with flexible conduit connectors, louvered metal foundation vents, and a ball valve with green handle controlling flow to a green PVC flexible hose assembly. A red-tagged pressure relief valve was present on the tank. During the service call, blue protective tape was applied to interior PVC piping sections, indicating work performed on the system routing and connections.

The corrugated metal downspout with elbow connections and the overall piping configuration were inspected for integrity. All visible connections were found to be secure with proper coupling hardware in place. The storage tank’s condition—marked by significant rust and corrosion—was documented as part of the assessment.

Work completed on May 27, 2026 addressed the hot water delivery issue. The system’s aged copper lines, storage tank condition, and valve assembly were evaluated and serviced. Protective wrapping and tape application ensured proper system function and component protection moving forward. The customer’s hot water service was restored following the completion of this work.
