Clogged Toilet in Santa Monica
On June 17, 2026, our plumber responded to a clogged toilet service call in Santa Monica. Upon arrival, the technician inspected the two-piece ceramic toilet and its supply system, which included a black flexible supply line connected to a red shutoff valve at the wall.
During the inspection, the technician identified mineral deposits and corrosion buildup at the shutoff valve connection point, indicating the valve had been under stress from hard water conditions. The toilet bowl contained visible sediment and debris consistent with a clogged line. The tank interior, including the fill valve and flush mechanism, was examined for proper operation.
The technician used a plumbing wrench to service the shutoff valve connection and address the clog. The red shutoff valve handle was confirmed functional and accessible for future maintenance. Work focused on clearing the obstruction and ensuring water flow through the supply line was restored.
Upon completion, the toilet was tested and returned to full working order. The customer was advised that the mineral buildup at the shutoff valve connection should be monitored, and the shutoff valve remains easily accessible should future service be needed. The bathroom fixtures, including the decorative toilet seat and tank accessories, were left undisturbed. The job was completed efficiently, and the toilet is now ready for normal use.
