Service Call in Los Angeles
Our technician arrived for a service call in Los Angeles to inspect and address toilet tank issues. Upon opening the tank, sediment and mineral buildup were visible on the basin floor, indicating age-related wear on the internal components. The fill valve assembly with its red adjustment cap appeared functional, though the tank interior showed clear discoloration from prolonged mineral deposits.
The shutoff valve—a dual ball valve configuration with chrome finish—was examined and serviced to ensure proper operation. The white PVC supply line and flexible braided metal supply hose (chrome finish) were assessed for wear and connection integrity. New compression fittings were installed on the supply line to replace aging connections and restore a watertight seal at the shutoff valve.
The flush valve mechanism with black housing and overflow tube were inspected and confirmed to be in working order. All tank-mounted components were repositioned for optimal accessibility, and the supply line routing was verified to meet standard plumbing practices. No active leaks or water damage were present at connection points.
The toilet is now operating with a secure, properly functioning supply system. The mineral buildup inside the tank may be addressed with periodic cleaning, though it does not currently affect performance. The shutoff valve is accessible and ready for future maintenance needs. The work was completed on May 22, 2026.
