Clogged Drain in Los Angeles
On May 19, 2026, our team addressed a clogged drain issue at a Los Angeles residence. Upon arrival, we inspected the under-sink plumbing assembly and found a complete disposer installation with brass P-trap and drain piping, along with flexible gray corrugated hoses positioned under the sink basin.
The installation featured a standard 3/4 HP residential food waste disposer mounted to the sink flange, with a mesh strainer basket seated properly in the drain opening. All connections—including compression fittings on the P-trap, flexible drain lines, and the electrical outlet connection at the wall—were examined for integrity and function. The brass fittings showed typical patina consistent with proper installation, and the flexible hoses were coiled and secured to allow adequate maintenance access.
Our inspection confirmed that the P-trap was configured with appropriate slope for drainage and that all components were hand-tight and properly aligned with no visible leaks or water damage present. The drain access point in the sink basin was clear and functional.
The existing under-sink assembly was found to be in good working condition. For ongoing drain maintenance and to prevent future clogs, we recommend regular professional drain cleaning and proper use of the disposer.
