Emergency Call in West Hollywood

On July 11, 2026, our team responded to an emergency service call in West Hollywood to inspect under-sink plumbing conditions. The inspection revealed a chrome-finished 1/2″ supply line connected to two chrome ball valve shutoffs mounted on the wall, with flexible braided gray supply hoses running to each valve. The P-trap and drain assembly, constructed from black plastic, showed significant mineral buildup and white crystalline deposits typical of hard water exposure over time. The chrome pipe exhibited water staining and oxidation consistent with age and mineral accumulation.

The condition of the black plastic trap assembly indicated prolonged exposure to hard water minerals. Visible corrosion on the plastic components and discoloration throughout the trap suggested the system required attention. Our technician accessed the shutoff valves and drain assembly to evaluate the extent of mineral deposits and assess whether cleaning or replacement would be necessary.

Based on the severity of mineral accumulation visible in the trap and the overall condition of the plastic drain components, we documented the findings and discussed options with the customer. The chrome supply lines and shutoff valve configuration were intact and functional, but the trap assembly’s deterioration from hard water exposure was the primary concern identified during this visit.

For customers in West Hollywood dealing with similar hard water issues or aging drain systems, professional plumbing inspection and maintenance can help prevent larger problems. Our team remains available for follow-up service and component replacement as needed.
