Clogged Toilet in Westchester
On June 11, our team responded to a clogged toilet service call in Westchester. Upon arrival, the technician assessed the drainage system and identified the source of the blockage affecting the fixture.
The inspection revealed a large-diameter corrugated drainage pipe (4–6 inch) secured with a metal band clamp coupling. The pipe showed signs of weathering and exterior soil contact typical of subsurface drainage installations. A white primer coating or protective wrapping was visible near the coupling, indicating recent assembly or maintenance work in the system. The interior of the pipe appeared clear of obstructions, and the surrounding area contained dried grass and organic debris consistent with exterior drainage work.
The metal coupling exhibited oxidation and corrosion patina, common in exterior installations exposed to moisture and ground conditions. Professional-grade corrugated drainage pipe, likely ADS or equivalent manufacturer-grade material, formed the backbone of the system. The technician evaluated the coupling placement and pipe configuration to determine the best approach for clearing the blockage and restoring proper flow.
Once the clogged toilet was cleared and drainage function was restored, the system was tested to confirm water moved freely through the pipes. The exterior drainage components were inspected for any additional issues. The job was completed successfully, with the toilet returning to normal operation and the drainage system functioning as intended. No additional repairs or replacements were necessary at this time.
