Clogged Toilet in Santa Monica
Our plumber arrived at a Santa Monica residence to address a clogged toilet in the master bathroom. The two-piece ceramic toilet was completely blocked, preventing normal operation. Using a toilet auger—a specialized tool with a black shaft and red boot—the technician inserted the auger directly into the bowl to break apart and dislodge the obstruction.
The auger was worked through the toilet’s internal passages to clear the blockage. Water remained visible in the bowl throughout the process, confirming the clog’s severity. The technician employed standard clearing techniques, rotating and advancing the auger to fragment the debris and restore flow to the drain line below.
Once the obstruction was cleared, the toilet was tested to verify proper drainage and flushing function. The bathroom—featuring a modern glass shower enclosure with chrome hardware, chrome toilet paper holder, and light grey tile flooring—was left clean and in good working order. An orange cleanup rag was used during the service to maintain the area.
The toilet now drains normally without backup or slow drainage. All plumbing fixtures in the bathroom remain in sound condition. The job was completed on May 15, 2026, restoring full functionality to the residence’s primary bathroom.
