No Hot Water in Glendale

Our team arrived at the Glendale property to diagnose a complete loss of hot water. The inspection revealed a multi-unit hot water system featuring three Energuide-labeled tankless water heaters mounted on the exterior wall, supported by strapping and brackets. The system included copper and PVC piping with multiple connection points, a burgundy circulation pump with electrical connections, and a white PVC distribution manifold designed to serve multiple zones.

The copper piping showed significant oxidation and age-related patina, indicating extended outdoor exposure. The circulation pump displayed weathering consistent with prolonged use. The concrete pad beneath the equipment bore visible water staining and mineral deposits. A black drain line was present with condensation visible on the discharge, and the manifold system indicated proper distribution configuration with appropriate slope on the drain line.

Upon evaluation, the system’s components were assessed for functionality and integration. The parallel piping configuration and manifold setup suggested the installation was designed to support multiple units or zones simultaneously. The electrical connections on the pump unit and the overall strapping configuration were examined to ensure proper operation.

The work completed on May 21, 2026 addressed the hot water service restoration. The system’s circulation capability and multi-unit design were verified to be operational. The property now has restored hot water service across all connected zones. This type of commercial or multi-unit residential system requires regular monitoring of the copper piping condition and circulation pump performance to maintain reliable operation.
